Chelsea was defeated by Manchester City 2-1 to secure a place in the FA Cup Final against Wigan Athletic on May 11th at Wembley Stadium in London, England, UK.

Goals by Samir Nasri in the 35th minute and Sergio Aguero in the 47th gave City a 2-0 lead. Chelsea’s Demba Ba opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 66th with help from Fernando Torres.

Chelsea came close to winning in the last 30 minutes. Fans are angry about decisions that went against Chelsea on Sunday, and disappointed that the performance of the last 30 minutes didn’t start an hour earlier.

It’s Chelsea’s London Derby of the season – and Chelsea are in third/fourth with a game in hand over the teams immediately above and below in the table. Manchester City are second, Spurs are equal in third/fourth and Arsenal are in fifth.

Chelsea, the current champions of Europe have a game in hand over fellow third/fourth place aspirants Tottenham. Chelsea are now lying two points equidistant between the pair with six points more to play for.

The Barclays Premier League campaign has become a fight to the finish, and the players now have the chance to bring the needed six points back from Fulham and Liverpool.
