Frank Lampard scored on his 500th Premier League start for Chelsea.

‘It means I’m old. No, it means a lot. I’ve been fortunate to play for a great club and the managers had team-mates around me,” said Lampard after the match.

‘I’m very proud of that goals record, to beat a great man such as Bobby who is an absolute legend and a lovely bloke, it means everything.

‘Coming across London is not always easy but they have supported me from the first minute. I appreciate it. I try to play well for them.’

During his 11-year career with Chelsea, he has secured three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two Football League Cups, one FA Community Shield and of course the 2012 Champions League.

Rumor has it that Lampard may succeed David Beckham at LA Galaxy, Lampard stands to cash-in a lucrative £130,000 a week salary at the end of this season..

Fernando Torres opened the scoring with a brilliant header and got Chelsea off to a flying start in the third minute. Chelsea doubled their lead at 30 minutes with a stunning free-kick from David Luiz. Next Branislav Ivanovic headed in a third in the 33rd – and it looked like the match was over for Villa. Chelsea moved 4-up in the 58th minute when Frank Lampard, on his 500th Premier League start.scored a powerful goal from 25-yards. Ramires made it 5-0 from a Lucas Piazon assist. Then Oscar slammed home a penalty for the sixth goal. Eden Hazard scored the seventh. At the end of the match, Lucas Piazon saw a penalty saved by Brad Guzan and Ramires scored the eighth to completely demolish Villa.
