Anelka, Drogba, Malouda, Essien, Cole May Play Against Rovers

Chelsea 7-0 Ipswich

Chelsea takes on the Blackburn Rovers on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in their push for fourth place in the Premier League.

Leading goalscorer Nicolas Anelka may play after sitting out of Chelsea’s 7-0 win over Ipswich. The former Arsenal striker has a great record against Blackburn, scoring 11 goals against the Rovers while in England.

“Anything is possible, even if it is hard,” said Anelka. “We have to win every game from now on.”

It is rumored that Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Michael Essien and Ashley Cole could all play against Blackburn Rovers as well.

The star quartet were all rested for Sunday’s 7-0 FA Cup third-round thrashing of Ipswich and manager Carlo Ancelotti must decide whether to recall them against Rovers.

Ancelotti has no new injuries, with Alex, John Obi Mikel (both knee), Yury Zhirkov (calf) and Yossi Benayoun (Achilles) all still sidelined.

Carlo Ancelotti has stated that a top-four place has become this club’s immediate priority. The champions are nine points behind leaders Manchester United and have played a game more.

Possible Chelsea starting XI: Cech,c Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole; Essien, Lampard, Ramires; Malouda, Drogba, Anelka.
